Mrs. Perdue was born November 19, 1926 in LaGrange, GA, daughter of the late George Lee Langford and Annie Lou Thompson Langford Geiger. She was a member of First Baptist Church on the Square and was employed with Play-Tex before retiring. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Allen Cleveland Perdue, and her siblings, Alford Langford, Louise Bohannan, Virginia Roberts, and Annie Ruth Williams.
Mrs. Perdue is survived by her children, Jimmy (Connie) Perdue, Carolyn (Jimmy) Brown, Diane (Chris) Taylor, and Mike (Susan) Perdue; grandchildren, Jeff (Jennifer) Brown, Jay (Jina) Perdue, and Kerby (Kevin) Layfield; great grandchildren, Andrew Brown, Evan Brown, Milo Perdue, Wilder Perdue, and Kaylee Layfield; several nieces and nephews; and her fur-baby, Shorty.
The Celebration of Life service will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 16, 2022 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, LaGrange, GA. Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery. The gathering of family and friends will be on Tuesday from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Wellstar West Georgia Hospice in memory of Mrs. Agnes Lovine Langford Perdue.
