Amos Paul Smith

March 16, 1942April 20, 2021

Amos Paul Smith, 79, of LaGrange, GA went to meet the Lord on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 from his residence.

Mr. Smith was born March 16, 1942 in Roanoke, AL to the late Amos Smith and Polly Wright Smith. He was a member of Pineview Baptist Church, there he served faithfully on the Deacon Board. He was a Truck Driver, that enjoyed being on the open road and answering to the handle, “Nite Owl.” In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Scott Smith and daughter, Lynn Smith Faulk.

Survivors include his daughter, Tracy (Eric) Johnson; grandchildren, Jeremy Faulk, Christopher (Rosie) Shelnutt, Tabitha Smith, Jamie (Maria) Smith, and Tiffany Johnson; 10 great grandchildren; uncle and aunt, Buddy and LaVae Wright; best friend, Terry Wolsifer; several other relatives and friends.

The Gathering of Family and Friends will Wednesday, April 21, 2021 from 6:00 until 8:00pm at the funeral home. The Celebration of Life Service will be 2:00pm Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Pineview Baptist Church with Rev. Joel Scott, Rev. Jason May and Rev. David Dodgen officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens.
