Barbara June Shelton

Mrs. Shelton was born August 30, 1937 in Hogansville, GA, daughter to the late Alvin Lawrence Turner and Clara Cole Turner. She was a member of New Covenant Baptist Church in Pine Mountain, GA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harold Laverne Shelton; daughter, Sheree Shelton Duszynski, and several siblings and their spouses.

Survivors include her children, Mark Shelton (Linda Darlene Shelton), Scott Shelton (Martha Alida Shelton), and Tim Shelton (Kathy Ann Shelton); grandchildren, Amanda Brewer (Mike), Felisha Plummer (Wesley), Andrea Smith (Sterling), Eric Womble (Kasey), Kyle Shelton (Jessica), Christina Mundy, Beau Shelton (Jessica), Olivia Harrison (Edward), Nick Tedrow, Austin Shelton (Gabi), and Megan Alford (Carson); 28 great grandchildren; one brother, Horace Alvin Turner and several nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held 3:30 P.M. Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Meadoway Gardens Cemetery in LaGrange, GA with Rev. Joel Chapman and Rev. Derrick West officiating. The gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary in LaGrange, GA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Columbus Hospice, 7020 Moon Road, Columbus, GA 31909 in memory of Barbara June Shelton.
