Betty was born December 24, 1933, in Schley County, GA to the late Harvey Jerome Yates and Violet Lucile Lewis Yates.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 65 years, George Harrison Satterfield.
Survivors include her daughter, Lisa (Mark) Hunt; grandson, Marcus (Abby) Hunt and great-grandson, Bennett Hunt and many other nieces and nephews.
The Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M Thursday, June 13, 2024 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary in LaGrange, GA. The Celebration of Life Service will begin 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church on the Square. The internment will be at Shadowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange, GA following the service.
