Bobbie Lee Delaney
November 22, 1943 – December 30, 2020
Bobbie Lee Delaney, 77, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Hospice LaGrange.
Bobbie was born and raised in LaGrange, GA on November 22, 1943, son of the late Edward and Cordell Patterson Delaney. He graduated from Ethel Kight High School in May of 1962, proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and was a Senior Corps Volunteer. Bobbie was a Certified Welder and Instructor at West Georgia Technical College, previously known as Troup Tech. Until retirement, he was a Master Carpet Installer for many years. He was a respected member of the Amberwood Community and will be missed by all that knew him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Francis Dell Delaney.
Survivors include his sisters, Lillian (Ernest) Blake, Charlie Mae (Dorris) Woods, Patsey (Michael) Irvin; brothers, Milton (Gloria) Delaney, Robert Delaney, Tommy (Betty) Delaney; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Military Honors will be rendered at the Shadowlawn Cemetery Mausoleum on Monday, January 11, 2021 at 11:00am.

Rest in Heaven Big Brother, you really deserve it. You have lived a good life and you have left a giant open space in our heart. Just make sure you tell Mama and Daddy and Kate Ruth everybody said hello. Sonya and Adrian handled your Empire just the way you wanted, you would be so proud of them, I am. Bobbie was an enjoyment to be around. I am one of the aides that goes to Amberwood Apartments, and every time Bobbie seen me he would pick at me in a laughing way. He loved to joke around and I will definitely miss his sense of humor! My condolences goes out to his family!

I really enjoyed Bobby at Amberwood. Bobby knew what day I was coming and always greeted me with a big smile and always updated me on what everyone was doing. I am going to miss you my friend. Sending my Heart felt condolences to your family who I grew up with.
