Brenda Ann Thompson Hester

Mrs. Hester was born November 18, 1955 in LaGrange, daughter of the late Lewis Hiram Thompson, Sr. and Betty Ruth Bishop Brooks. She was a homemaker and was a member of Community Baptist Church in LaFayette, AL. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Hester and a brother, Lewis Thompson, Jr.

Survivors include a special friend, Jimmy Butler; two sons, David Clegg and Jimmie Clegg Jr; three grandchildren, Brittney Clegg, Michael Clegg, and Vickie Clegg; two sisters, Jackie Hannah and Pattie Davis and her husband, Barry; two brothers, Gary Thompson and his wife, Pam, and Roger Thompson and his wife, Rosemary; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, February 4, 2011 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Clifford DeLee officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens.

The family will be at the home of her son, David Clegg, and will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.

Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to West Georgia Hospice in memory of Mrs. Brenda Ann Thompson Hester.
