Carl Steele

Mr. Steele was born August 2, 1933 in Franklin, GA, son of the late Lonnie B. Steele and Fannie Lou Bradley Steele. He was a member of State Line Congregational Christian Church. Mr. Steele was employed with Wheelabrator before retiring and later worked for Publix.

Survivors include his wife, Emma Jean Smedley Steele of Five Points, AL; two daughters, Linda Steele (Kenneth) Flanary of Five Points, AL and Tracie (Bruce) Stevens of Lanett, AL; son, Larry Steele of Five Points, AL; three grandchildren, Alicia Morgan, Bo (Jamie) Morgan, and Caroline Stevens; ten great grandchildren, Jordan Morgan, McGarrett Kelley, Walker Kelley, James Morgan, Isaac Morgan, Dylan Morgan, Kylie Morgan, Jackson Morgan, Gracie Morgan, and Hunter Hazel; sister, Opal Wood of LaGrange; brother, Odie Steele of Franklin, GA; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. today, January 7, 2014 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Reverend Leon Fowler officiating. A private entombment will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to State Line Congregational Christian Church in memory of Mr. Carl Steele.
