Carolyn Sue Knight Stolte age 78, of Nashville, TN and formally of LaGrange, GA passed away on Wednesday October 21, 2026. Sue was born May 4, 1948, to the late Waymon Terrell Knight Sr. and Sarah Davis Knight in LaGrange, GA.
Sue was an avid horsewoman most of her life and previously had competed regularly in the Georgia Hunter Jumper Association as well as teaching students how to ride horses.
She is survived by her son; Parks Morgan and son-in-law John Roy; sisters, Lena Knight Whitley and Lynda Knight Welborn; sister-in-law, Judy Knight; six nieces and two nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Waymon Knight, Jr. and Thomas Knight.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held Friday October 30, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary and the Celebration of Life Service will begin at 12:00 PM with Rev. Dr. Mike Reeves officiating. The committal will be held at Shadowlawn Cemetery following the service.
