Mrs. East was born January 11, 1954 in Sand Mountain, Alabama, daughter of the late Sam and Willie Mae Anderson Duke. She had lived in LaGrange most of her life and worked for the Live Oak Plant of Milliken and Company for many years.
Survivors include her husband, Billy East; children, Joseph and Courtney Harry, Todd and Christy Harry, Susan and Stephen Barrett, and Tina Gaddy; brothers, Roger (Imogene) Pannell, Edward Bolt, and Buddy Bolt; sisters, Peggy Ransom, and Nellie (Charles) Simmons; 13 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at the Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Sonny Kent officiating. Burial will follow in Meadoway Gardens Cemetery.
The family will be at 116 Bailey Road, and will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.
