I had the privilege of knowing Dixie for more than 20 years. She was a true lady—kind, gracious, and always a pleasure to see. I’ll always remember her beautiful smile, her love of Auburn football, and the warmth she brought to every conversation. I feel very fortunate to have known her and will always remember her fondly. My heartfelt condolences to her family.

Ms. Dixie came into my life exactly when I needed her, after moving away to Auburn and not long after losing a close family member of my own. She was such a bright light and loving woman, and she treated me like one of her own grandkids. Her love and care for others was inspiring and motivates me to care for others the way she did. My thoughts and prayers are with Lee and her family. I know she is resting easy with the Lord and catching up with Johnny. 
"Even if he causes suffering, he will show compassion according to the abundance of his faithful love" - Lamentations 3:32

Mrs. Dixie was a true Proverbs woman to me with her character, strength and wisdom.   We can all learn from how she handled life with humor and grace.   I love how she always had a way of making you feel warm and welcomed. She reflected the love of Christ in the way she treated people.  There was no doubt of her love and adoration for her family, friends and neighbors.  Dixie also loved her country; she prayed for law enforcement and our leaders, which we all need to do more often.   Dixie also really appreciated God’s beauty all around us, especially in the form of nature.  That love was reflected in the way she tended to her garden, doing her best even when she dealt with pain.  I wonder if that’s a glimpse of Christ’s love for us?  I can’t thank her enough for how much she loved my parents and cared so deeply for their happiness and well being.   She always wanted to bring food over and share some laughs with them, even in the midst of her own struggles.   She was truly their “sister- in-Christ,”  and will be missed, but we know we will see her again, someday.   For now, we can smile and imagine the bluest eyes in Georgia gazing upon Jesus and saying “Oh wee,” at the sight of God’s Heavenly gardens.  Much love and adoration, Tracy

Miss Dixie,  was a kind and happy lady.  She was always a pleasure to talk to.    I did not know her well but she was my sister’s neighbor and highly thought of by those who knew her.     She will be missed by all the lives she touched.  
Her passing was way too soon.   Rest in peace Miss Dixie, you are with your Johnny again.  You will remain in all our hearts and prayers.

Love, kindness and family are a few words that describe Dixie.  As a best friend and the best "shopping buddy", we loved her and she will be dearly missed.  "Miss Dixie" as known by so many, enjoyed having time with friends and she always loved to laugh.  Our family will miss our meal times with her, including her funny little dancing.  Dixie had a happy spirit and it will be missed. We hope she has lots of pie and ice cream in heaven.  Our prayers are with her family, Lee, Susan, Garrett and Brett.  "War Eagle" Dixie, we will miss you and will smile when we think of you.

I worked with Dixie at the “Phone Company”.  I remember the day she started to work there.  We became good friends but there wasn’t anyone who met Dixie that didn’t become a friend of hers. Of all my remembrances of her the one I will now remember the most was a few weeks ago.   I and some of the retired ladies of the “Phone Company “ had the unexpected (but not by God) privilege to have her join us for lunch.  It was so good to see her.  I’m so grateful for that time we were blessed to spend with her.  Dixie was a special lady and loved by many.   She will truly be missed.  For Lee, Susan and the family I pray Gods comfort and His peace that surpasses all understanding.

I am so saddened with the news of Dixie’s passing. She was the kindest and sweetest person and will be missed by
many.   She was a dear friend, …we worked together for years.  Sending love and prayers to her family.

Living in the south I have experienced two categories of women: Southern Belles and Southern Ladies. Without a doubt Dixie was the epitome of a true southern lady. Dixie extended such kindness to anyone she came in contact with. Whether it was a mail carrier, lawn care employee, grocery clerk, fellow employees, domestic help or neighbors, Dixie always ensured they were recognized as valuable persons in her world. Dixie would display appreciation for these individuals with kind praise, home baked goodies or little thoughtful gifts. I ask myself "Where have all the good people gone?" I now know the answer "To heaven of course".  Dixie enjoy the trip, You deserve it.

Rest in peace sweet lady.  Dixie was so loving and caring to everyone she met.  I worked with Dixie for years and she was a precious soul.  Prayers for her family.  She will surely be missed.  ♥️

Dixie and Johnny was great friends of mine. They shopped with me at piggly for years! They were a couple made in heaven! When Johnny walked into my store I knew he had some story or something funny to say! And Dixie was like here he goes again! I kinda felt something was wrong since I did not hear from her from a while! Im sure Johnny will be happy to see her in heaven!
