Eddie was my first boss, back in 1970 at Westbrook motors. I could not ask for a better boss. He was a hard worker and I enjoyed his sense of humor. My condolences Teddy Brown.

I was so saddened to hear of the passing of Eddie. Radney and I have shared many great memories and laughs with Eddie and Stelle through the years. Not only was Eddie a treasured friend, he was also a cherished cousin. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know him.

Eddie was a few months younger than I. One of my favorite memories, Eddie, Bobby, Jimmy, Billy, my brother Donnie and I all in the same bed, three at the head and three at the foot, down at Uncle Earl’s and Aunt Myrt’s house. I was probably nine or ten, the oldest. It was freezing cold and the only heat was the wood stove in the kitchen, but we sank down in that old feather mattress and had about four quilts on top. We were warm as toast.

I went to school (Troup High, Class of 1958) with Eddie, and later was delighted when I saw him again at Hillcrest UMC. Eddie and my late husband, Paul, shared a love of restoring old tractors and reminisced about their hobby when they got together. Eddie was such a kind, gentle Soul, and I will miss him terribly. I am praying for comfort for y’all, his Family.
