
Mrs. Teasley was born August 29, 1925 in Little Rock, AR, daughter of the late Eugene Franklin Lawson and Grace Emeline Wellman Lawson. She was a member of First Baptist Church on the Square and was retired from Sears as the credit manager. Mrs. Teasley was a former actress with the Starkville Community Theatre in Starkville, MS. She was a guest columnist with the Starkville Daily News and the LaGrange Daily news during which time she also wrote 2 books. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Warner Wells Teasley.
Survivors include four daughters, Kay Teasley of Colorado Springs, CO, Linda Teasley (Galo) Grosinske of Starkville, MS, Diane Teasley (Tom) Fondren of LaGrange, and Holly Teasley (Norman) Tramel of Pearl, MS; sister, Grace Ellen Woolnough of Hixson, TN; nine grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Paul Blair officiating. Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M.
