Elise Middlebrooks Cash

Born on March 11, 1933, in LaGrange, Georgia, Elise was the daughter of the late Jesse J. Middlebrooks and Pauline Johnson Pope. Raised in LaGrange, she was brought up with a strong work ethic and spent many years as a dedicated employee of the Mike Patton Auto Family.

Elise found her greatest joy in spending quality time with her family. Caring for and loving her family was her highest priority, and she was happiest when surrounded by those she cherished.

She is survived by her daughter, Nan (Thomas) McCann of Pine Mountain, Georgia; her son, Emory M. (Barbara) Breed of Moreland, Georgia; her grandchildren, Joe McCann of Fort Worth, Texas, Patrick (Kaitlin) McCann of McKinney, Texas, Carly Breed (Kevin) Otts of Woodstock, Georgia, and Kelly Breed (Josh) Green of Newnan, Georgia; and her great-grandchildren, Avery and Logan McCann of McKinney, Texas, and Elizabeth and Shelby Green of Newnan, Georgia. She is also survived by her brother, Gary (Joyce) Middlebrooks of Carrollton, Georgia; her sister, Dottie (Danny) Waugh of LaGrange, Georgia; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.

Elise was preceded in death by her husbands, Sonny Breed and Kenneth Cash; her father, Jesse J. Middlebrooks; her mother, Pauline Johnson Pope; and her brothers, Everette Middlebrooks and Daniel Middlebrooks.

A visitation will be held at the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary in LaGrange on Friday, October 24, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life at 12:00 PM. A graveside committal will take place immediately after at Shadowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange, Georgia.
