Mr. Fred W. Butler

Mr. Butler was born November 28, 1940 in LaGrange, son of the late Robert Fletcher Butler and Linnie Louetta Reed Butler. He was employed with Callaway Mills Company before retiring and was a member of the Union Lodge #28 F&AM. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Maude Vinson, the mother of Michelle Butler, sister and brother-in-law, Annette and Billy Hendrix, brother, William F. Butler, and sister-in-law, Willodean Butler.

Survivors include two maternal aunts, Minnie Longshore and Margaret Daniel; wife, Patricia Butler; daughter, Michelle Butler; granddaughter, Emily Butler; step children, Renee Vosburgh, Sara Merwin, Matthew Vosburgh, Cindy (Phillip) Gauldin, Susan Vinson, and Lanita (Walter) Wyatt; 16 step grandchildren, including Phillip Gauldin Jr., Michael Gauldin, Robin Martinez, and Ronnie Brymer; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Friday, March 7, 2014 at Baptist Tabernacle Church with Reverend Jimmy McMillian and Reverend Howard Longshore officiating. Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery.

The family will be at the home of his daughter, Michelle Butler, 160 Coldwater Terrace, LaGrange, GA. The gathering of family and friends will be on Friday, March 7, 2014 from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Baptist Tabernacle Church.
