Gene Fryer Sr.

Gene was born June 27, 1946 in Mobile, AL, son of the late William Fryer and Lucille Henry Fryer. He was a member of Rosemont Baptist Church and served in the Preschool Department for 18 years. Gene was a former board member of the Pineland Boys Home, past member of the Troup County Airport Authority Board, and a member of the LaGrange Shriner’s. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Valerie Fryer McDaniel a sister, Sharon Fryer, and two brothers, Wesley Fryer and Billy Ray Fryer.

Gene was the former owner of Fryer’s Tire Center for many years until his retirement. He was a much loved and respected family man and business man but most of all he was a friend to everyone and had a passion for helping people.

Survivors include his wife, Kay Bartlett Fryer; three sons, Luke Fryer (Deanna), Trey Daniel (Jaime), and Brett Daniel (Brandi); three grandchildren, Walker Fryer, Kylie Fryer, and Olivia Daniel; one sister, Jackie George; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Rosemont Baptist Church with Reverend Adam Camp and Reverend Max McCord officiating. A private burial will immediately follow the service.

The family will be at the home of his wife, Kay Fryer, 844 Hillcrest Road, Hogansville, GA 30230.

Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Rosemont Baptist Church Preschool Department, 3794 Hamilton Road, LaGrange, GA 30241 in memory of Mr. Gene Fryer.
