George was born December 28, 1959 in Detroit, Michigan, son of Arlene Czarnonycz and the late George Allan Czarnonycz, Sr. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and retired from International Paper as an IT Director. George had many passions and hobbies – most notably his fondness for music and photography. He spent much of his free time listening to and exploring his favorite music genre of rock ‘n roll, while also sharing his talent for photography. Some of his work can be found displayed at the Lafayette Society of Performing Arts. Above all else, George loved his family, for which he proudly instilled his most cherished values of gratitude, forgiveness, compassion, integrity, and courage. He enjoyed spending quality time with them and especially adored his “Grands”. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his youngest son, Kyle Czarnonycz.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Teresa Czarnonycz; mother, Arlene Czarnonycz; children, Ryan Czarnonycz (Rose), Corey Czarnonycz (Cathy), and Caitlin Freeman (Drew); grandchildren, Rowan Czarnonycz, Liam Czarnonycz, Odin Czarnonycz, and Dawson Freeman; sisters Kimberley Morris and Karen Taylor (Jeff); several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Private Family Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
