Glenda was born on May 16, 1943, in Panama City, Florida to the late John Golie Allen and Gladys Nancy Smith Allen. She was a member of First Baptist Church of LaGrange, Georgia. Glenda loved being a paraprofessional in the Troup County School System; working in her garden and spending quality time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Rogers Waller who Glenda was married to for 61 years before his passing.
She will be deeply missed by the following surviving family members: her daughters, Melissa (Scotty) Longshore, Ginny (Dwaine) Tipsword; grandchildren, Noah Longshore, Ethan Longshore, Jacqueline Tipsword and Megan Tipsword.
The Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary in LaGrange, Georgia and the Celebration of Life Services will begin at 11:00 AM. A private family burial will take place after the service at Bethel East Cemetery in Woodland, Alabama following the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Diabetes Association or the Kyle Pease Foundation.
