Howard Lane Scarborough Sr.

Mr. Scarborough was born August 30, 1936 in LaGrange, son of the late John B. Scarborough and Mattie Pearl Yarborough Scarborough.

Survivors include his wife, Selvwyn Sheppard Scarborough; son, Howard (Candy) Scarborough; grandchildren, Will Scarborough, Adam (Caroline) and their daughter Raygan, Laura (Brad) and their son Caleb, Scott (Korky) and their daughter Kinslee, and Kennon Cadenhead; and numerous extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, February 25, 2011 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Sid Shelnutt officiating. Burial will follow in Meadoway Gardens Cemetery.

The family will be at the home of his wife, Mrs. Selvwyn Scarborough, and will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.

The family request that flowers be omitted and contributions may be made to Hospice LaGrange, the Scottish Rite Hospital, LaGrange Elks Club , or the Elm City Lodge #32 in memory of Mr. Howard Lane Scarborough, Sr.
