James Ray Ray Hancock

Mr. Hancock was born February 25, 1954 in LaGrange, son of Gloria Ann Heath Hancock and the late William Jack Hancock. He was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church, and a former member of the Troup Travelers Camping Club, and the LaGrange Jaycees. Mr. Hancock was formerly employed with Visqueen Corporation, LaGrange Plastics Company, Atlanta Journal Constitution, and LaGrange Molded.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Hancock; daughter, Catherine Renee Hancock Garman and her husband, Brett; a granddaughter (due in May); his mother and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 3, 2013 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Reverend Robert Burnett and Mr. Brett Garman officiating. Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery.

The family will be at the home of Rick and Delaine Knight, 105 Shannon Drive, and will receive family and friends at the funeral home this evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to LaGrange College (Student Scholarships) or Hospice LaGrange in memory of Mr. James Ray Hancock.
