“Jimbo” as he was affectionately known was born June 26, 1965 in Columbus, GA to the late William James Ivey, Jr. and Lynda Diane Cherry Ivey. He received an Associate Degree from West Georgia Technical College in AutoCAD, a program used for 2-D and 3-D design and drafting. Jimbo was an AVID Georgia Bulldog fan and loved deer hunting. He was quiet and sweet, but also loved to aggravate and be a prankster at times. He will be missed by all that knew him, especially his family that he loved so dearly.
Jimbo is survived by his sisters, Sandra Ivey and Charles Hancock, Patricia and Todd Browers; nieces, Molly Morman, Victoria Browers, LeAndra Browers and Ivey Browers Mclendon (Michael); nephew, Rus Morman; great nieces and nephews, Caylee, Gunner, and Maggie; aunts, Evelyn Simpson (Ronnie), Gloria Love, Liz Ezell; uncle, Johnny Mac (Merle) Cherry; a number of other relatives and friends.
A graveside service for James E.“Jimbo” Ivey will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Meadoway Gardens Cemetery with Minister Jerry Scarborough officiating.
