James Walter Norsworthy

Mr. Norsworthy was born June 11, 1930 in West Point, GA, to the late Harvey Jasper Norsworthy and Carrie Waldroup Norsworthy. He was Electrical Superintendent for the City of LaGrange for 43 years before retiring in June of 1992. Mr. Norsworthy proudly served his country in the United States Marines and was a member of Dunson Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon and Treasurer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Wilson Leon Norsworthy and great grandchild, Libby Grace Zackoski.

Survivors include his loving wife of 67 years, Betty Frances Norsworthy; daughter, Regina Lynne Grant and her husband Larry; grandchildren, Courtney Danielle Grant, Carrie Denise Grant (Jeremy) Zackoski, great grandchild, Abby Lynne Zackoski; other relatives and friends.

Gathering of family and friends will be Thursday, November 5, 2015 from 1:00 pm until 2:30 pm at Dunson Baptist Church and funeral services will be at 2:30 pm at the church with Reverend Billy Bryant and Reverend Clay Snyder officiating. A private family entombment will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
