Dear Tonya, Gary & family,
Joan was my little buddy growing up. I used to walk, up the hill from Granny's, to her house, almost every day, and 'tend' to her! That's what I called it. Lol! We lived up the hill on the other side of Granny. We played and played our heart out! We have talked a lot about this, lately, and would have a good laugh. She reminded me of how I taught her to spell her name----Jody, Ody, Ady, N=Joan! We laughed more! She kept us updated on her family, who she loved with all her heart! May your memories of the wonderful times you shared with her comfort all of you. I know it has me! Please stay in touch, so we can keep sharing these memories! Including a pic of she and I.
Sending love, hugs and prayers to each of you. May God bless you.

Sending prayers for all the family. Joan became part of our family when she lived in Sylacauga and was living at my parents trailer. She was my sisters best friend and you never saw one without the other. Joan was so loving, funny, and caring. Within half hour of meeting my grandmother she became family. Visiting her in Lanett and in GA was always so much fun. We were truly Blessed to have Joan in our lives

I first met Joan at the VFW, she made both I and my sister feel so welcome. I was texting with her the day of her passing about the health of my sister Susie. As she sent her love and prayers. I will miss her great smile, our memories, most of all her big loving heart. You will be missed dear friend. Sending prayers to your family, you loved them all so much.
