Mrs. JoAnn C. Carden Dykes Lowery

Mrs. Lowery was born March 23, 1935, in Soddy-Daisy, TN to the late Raymond Carden and Mattie Crosson Carden. She was employed with West Point Foundry/ Batson Cook as an Export Manager for a number of years. Mrs. Lowery was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Pine Mountain. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Debbie C. Brown.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Jessie Lowery; children, Patti Dykes (Reynold) Edmondson, Jimmy (Jeanie) Dykes, Annette Simmons; grandchildren, Doug (Kira) Edmondson, Jenny E. (Craig) Zeungus, Tommy (Rebecca) Allred, Amy D. (Robbie) Ray, Chad Allred, James Dykes IV, Joe (Stephanie), Leigh Anne Skipper; several great grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Davis, Wanda Keylon, Brenda Sisson; brother, Bill Carden; several other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, September 27, 2014 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Reverend Ken Grubb officiating. The gathering of family and friends will be from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. prior to service time. Burial will follow in Marseilles Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of JoAnn C. Lowery.
