John T. Estes Jr.

Mr. Estes was born November 11, 1941 in Troup County, GA, son of the late John T. Estes, Sr. and Louise Lambert Estes. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and an active member of Rosemont Baptist Church. Mr. Estes received his Master of Divinity degree and was an Adult Literacy Educator before retiring. After his retirement, he continued working in the recreational field where he worked for many years with the Corps of Engineers around LaGrange and the Grand Canyon.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy Estes of Hogansville, GA; two sons, Jeff Estes Hogansville, GA and Chris (Christy) Estes of North Dakota; two grandchildren, Kendall and Phoenix; cousin, Johnny (Inez) Colbert of LaGrange; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and great nephews.

A Celebration of Life memorial service was held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Rosemont Baptist Church. Reverend Adam Camp and Reverend Max McCord officiated.
