John "Anthony" Kitchens

Anthony is survived by his wife, Lori Kitchens; mother, Jean Kitchens; son, Michael Kitchens (Aaron); daughter, Michelle Kitchens; grandchildren, Tyler Kitchens, Hunter Kitchens and Haley Kitchens; brother, Cather Kitchens; sons by marriage, David Osbahr (Amy)and Johnny Kistler (Bridget); grandchildren by marriage, Trigger Osbahr, Scout Osbahr, J.R. Kistler, and Sawyer Kistler; special nephews, Brian Kitchens and Brent Kitchens, along with many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Those who knew Anthony would describe him as an easygoing, laid-back, and down-to-earth man with a genuinely good nature. He loved to have fun, share a good joke, and make the people around him laugh. Anthony was kind, warmhearted, and genuine, and he had a way of making others feel comfortable simply by being himself. Above all, he loved life and cherished the people who were fortunate enough to share it with him.

In addition to his father, James Byron Kitchens, Anthony was preceded in death by his sister, Gwendolyn Kitchens Thompson.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary.
