John William"Fat Boy" Lowery

William was born May 21, 1951 in Bowdon, GA, to the late Carl Jackson Lowery and Annie Bell Osborn. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. William worked for Rocket Express Trucking in Atlanta, GA for many years as a truck driver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Ralph Lowery, Birtha Mae Rollins, Caroline Smith, Jackie Lowery, and two infant siblings.

Survivors include, four daughters, Ginger (Jorge) Aguilar, Samantha (Jack) Pung, Joanie (Cory) Maxwell and Brandi (Matthew) Goff; 17 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; one sister, Lucille (Ron) Deggler; two brothers, Jessie Lowery and Larry Joe (Lenda) Lowery; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Gathering of family and friends will be Sunday, August 7, 2016 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Monday, August 8, 2016 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Minister Jerry Scarborough officiating.
