Many memories yet not enough... but one especially of John patiently fishing with a young guest of mine in NC, who's parents were going through a divorce. He tirelessly fished with him until the young guest succeeded in a catch which John cleaned and cooked for him...he was determined to help the young boy ... encouraging, patient...and so kind. John will be missed.

John and I met at LaGrange College in 2007 in the business department. We graduated in the same year and the professors probably disliked us equally. Our friendship started during college but developed after we graduated.
My wife, Claire, and I share many fond memories of John. He was a fun, loving, and passionate friend. When you had John by your side you stood a little taller.
My condolences for your loss and I pray that the Lord grant peace and comfort to you.

Mary & Pete, Chunk & Leigh, Jud, and Francis,
Please know that I’m thinking of you at this difficult time. I wish I were in LG to hug you, in person. As you know, our family experienced something similar a year and a half ago; my heart truly goes out to each of you.
I have special memories of John when he was a tiny, little boy, celebrating Easter (next door to mom) at Dottie and John’s. At the time, John was an adorable towhead. What a handsome and kind man he grew up to be! Frankie was so, so proud of him!
May God bless John’s soul and each of yours, as you begin to process his passing. You are all beloved in the community, treasured by family, and certainly loved by me. Lean into that love and support. Take good care of yourselves.
Sincerely-Ann (Gaylord) Badding

Even though we met John only a couple of times, he was always smiling and welcoming. His memory will be eternal. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family during this difficult time. We know God will keep him safe and John will be smiling down on his family from heaven. He will now become a guardian angel.
Love you,
Maria and Scott
