

Joseph Scott Taylor, Jr., 82, of LaGrange, GA passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at his home. He was born August 8, 1933 in Denver, CO to the late Joseph Scott Taylor, Sr. and Betty Laffoon Taylor. Mr. Taylor was a faithful member of First Baptist Church on the Square. He worked for forty years as a Lead Line Mechanic for United Airlines. Mr. Taylor was a Free and Accepted Mason and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a licensed single engine pilot and enjoyed flying with his family, even for casual dinner dates. Mr. Taylor enjoyed traveling and judging goldfish and koi fish. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Knight Taylor; daughters, Robin Lynn Taylor of LaGrange, GA and Lisa Jane (Porter) Bennefield of Sacramento, CA; grandchildren, Grace and Josh Taylor; sister-in-law, Linda Knight Wadsworth of LaGrange, GA; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday, May 28, 2016 at First Baptist Church on the Square with Reverend Cade Farris officiating. The Gathering of Family and Friends will be form 10:00am until service time at the church. Burial will follow in Hillview Cemetery.
