Survivors include her husband, Eugene Burns; children, Kathy Young, Ruth Burgess, Donnie Dancy, Jeffrey Dancy, Eddie Dancy, and Brenda Thompson; 14 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, LaGrange Chapel with Rev. Tina Deese officiating. Burial will follow in Meadoway Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour on Thursday.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) in memory of Joyce Lee Dancy.
