Joyce was born May 8, 1935 in LaGrange, GA, daughter of the late Lonel Roy Tollerson, Sr. and Lorraine Dewberry Tollerson. She was a member of Broad Street Church of Christ and was employed as a teacher with the Troup County School System until her retirement.
Survivors include her son, James Dean Russell; special friend, Margie Moon; brother, Roy (Linda) Tollerson, Jr.; and sister-in-law, Marilynn Tollerson.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 21, 2017 in Hillview East Cemetery.
