
Kenneth Lloyd Ingram, 87, died Saturday, November 7, 2015. Ken was born April 20, 1928 in Niles, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty two years, Betty Ingram. Ken is survived by his three children, Pam, Bruce and Scott and their families. A Memorial service will be held 11:00am Saturday November 15, 2015 at the First Presbyterian Church in LaGrange.
Ken was a graduate of Elkhart High School in Elkhart, IN and he attended Depauw University in Greencastle, IN. He was a member of Delta Tau Delta, Rotary International, the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite Order of Masonry (32 degree) and El Jebel Shrine Club.
He worked for the Selmer Musical Instrument Co. from l952 – 1974 rising to the position of VP of Sales. In l974, he was promoted to Sr. Vice President of Marketing of the Magnavox Co where he served for six years. He returned to the music industry as President of the Gemeinhardt Flute Co and later as President of Boosey & Hawkes in New York City. He moved to LaGrange to become President of the Southern Ambulance Co. and retired from Southern in l990. He continued on in the Emergency Response Vehicle industry by producing HERO units for domestic use and exporting Specialty Units to Saudi Arabia and Kuwait for the next 10 years.
His hobbies and interests included: Golf, Travel, Music, and Teaching Sunday School. Leadership included: Eagle Scout, VP Delta Tau Delta, President Music Industry Council, Chairman Electronic Industry Association, Elder of the Presbyterian Church, President of Elkhart and of LaGrange Rotary Clubs, and two time President of Elcona Country Club.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Cancer Society or Habitat for Humanity in memory of Kenneth L. Ingram.
