He was a strong, determined, and set in his ways kind of man. He was caring, loving, and always there when you needed him! He served proudly for almost 30 years in the Army! He received many honors and rewards and I know how proud that made him. What I remember most about him is who he was as a person. I remember all the things he taught me, everything he's ever done for me, and not just for myself but for anyone! He was a good, honest man who cared deeply about his family and just wanted to make sure they were taken care of. When I was really sick and couldn't leave my apartment, he brought me medicine to help. He wasn't in the best shape himself, but he managed to go out, get me some medicine, and then bring it up the steps to my door! I didn't ask him to, he just did it. I broke my phone out of frustration trying to complete a quiz at his house. He went and bought me a laptop so that I could get school work done more easily. He has always opened his home to any one in the family that was in need of a place. He would feed, give money, or help in any way he could! He was always this way. He worked hard for so many years and struggled the last portion of it. He deserves to be praised and remembered always. I will always hold you in my heart. I have memories that will never fade and love that will always remain. May you rest easy and peacefully.

He taught me how to work on cars and plumbing and he use to say that when you get hurt you have to shake it off get up and keep moving and never depend on anyone else to give you anything because if you did you’d have a high cost to pay you have to depend on yourself he said do what you can and the rest will come to you always put in a hard and honest days work never steal never lie and never cheat one time he bought a straight shift and he came to me and said come outside a minute and I walked outside he threw the keys at me and said it’s yours I was so excited then I said I can’t drive a straight shift daddy he said well you’re about to learn and boy did I ever

Daddy I know you are in a better place and I know that it was only you and I but we had each other and now I’m on my own I miss you and I love you so very much and like I told you this isn’t goodbye just save me a seat beside you and I’ll be there when it’s my time . I’m really honored that I got to take care of you because we grew closer together and we got to spend precious time with each other and that’s what’s helping me through this because I know that I did my very best by you like you said I showed up for you I’ll be on soon save me a seat by you and we will fish this time maybe I’ll catch one . I love you and you’ll always be my hero love your baby girl always Amy Lynn
