Kerry R. Kinder, age 66, passed away on Mon. Oct. 1,2012 in Jefferson Valley, NY He was born in Chicago, Il. on Nov. 29. 1945 to William R. and Frances Kinder. Kerry attended Bishop Noll and later graduated from Calumet High School-class of '64. In 1970 to married Carol Wintermute. Four children were born of that union. Kerry began his career at Blythes Sporting Goods at a young age and worked at both the Griffith and Valparaiso stores for nearly 20 yrs. He moved to LaGrange, Georgia to work for Hesco and Meprolight. He also represented Kimber, Colt, Mossberg, High Standard, Benelli and SKB. He later moved to New York to work for Kimber and Meprolight where he worked until the time of his death. Leaving to grieve are four children: Crystal (Cliff) May of LaGrange; Kellie (Tim) Bozeman of LaGrange; Corey (Karri) of Auburn, Al.; and Kyle (Heather) of Montgomery Al. Kerry was PoPo to: Joshua, Katie, Kimberly, Nick, Nathan, Shelby, Brayden, Sutter, Sierra, Harper , Justin, Joshua, Jackson, and Joseph and great PoPo to Cameron. Also surviving are four brothers: Tony (Gail) of Griffith, In,; Steve (Deb) of Surprise, Az.; Stan (Candy) of Estrella Mountain, Az. and Curt of Gary, In. One sister: Barbara (Richard)Musgrove of Crown Point, In. Many nieces, nephews and cousins will miss him also. Kerry was preceded in death by his parents" William R. and Frances and grandparents Michael and Barbara Weber. Kerry will be remembered for his gentleness and for the great love of family and the stories he told us all. We will miss him beyond belief! Funeral services will be held at 11:00 at the Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, LaGrange Chapel. The family will be receiving friends and family at his daughter Kellie's home immediately following the services. 578 Hillcrest Rd Hogansville, GA 30230. Arrangements are by Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 1010 Mooty Bridge Road, LaGrange. (706) 884-8636

Dad i will miss you so much you and the kids have been a big part of my life from the time i was 12 in a half til now you have watched me grow and my children ryan and amber grow. you were always there when i need a friend and good advise you have help make me the person i am today. I will miss you more than i can say. You became my godfather and took on the responsibilty of godfather to my son ryan along with corey.
