Lewis Edward "Ed" Swanson

Mr. Swanson was born February 25, 1926 in LaGrange, son of the late Rev. Leon Swanson and Emerline Wright Swanson. He was a member of Rosemont Baptist Church and was retired from Milliken and Company, Elm City Plant. Mr. Swanson was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during War World II. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Nell Boggs Swanson and a son, Marvin Swanson.

Survivors include his children, Mike Swanson, Kathy (Ricky) McConnell, Jesse (Angie) Knight, Rick (Delane) Knight, Susan (Mike) McDaniel, and Gayla (Stanley) Sebaugh; numerous grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and numerous great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Rosemont Baptist Church with Rev. Max McCord officiating. Burial will follow in Meadoway Gardens Cemetery. The gathering of family and friends will be Monday evening from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
