

Mrs. Holmes was born October 4, 1954 in Arlington, VA, daughter of the late Douglas Randolph Sampson and Lois Ann Gore-Turner. She was employed with the Troup County Board of Education, Food Service Department, as the food service manager. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Tristan Brown.
Survivors include her husband, Lanny Holmes; children, Shelley (Chuck) Haynes, Natalie Brown (Brandon Yarbrough), and Laura (Bobby) Matthews; grandchildren, Cody Haynes, Cain Haynes, Katie Haynes, Caleb Brown, and Kayla Matthews; siblings, LouAnn Norris, Angie Boyd, Deborah Turner, and Ronnie Turner; and also a very loving aunt, Janett (William) Smith.
A Celebration of life to honor Mrs. Lisa Ann Holmes will be held 7:30 P.M. Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Nick Pilgrim officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. prior to the memorial service.
Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Pineland-Georgia Sheriff’s Youth Home in memory of Mrs. Lisa Holmes and Lois Ann Turner.
