Marlene Nehring

Janet was born December 6, 1932, in Chattanooga, TN to the late Beryle Hood and Anna Elizabeth Avakian.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Lamar Fuson and daughter Renee Faye Nehring.

Janet was raised by her grandparents, Dr. Vosgan Aaron Avakian and Anna Elizabeth Bates Avakian. In 1982 Janet moved to Altamonte Springs, FL. She worked for J.C. Penny in accounting. She loved cooking, Crocheting, knitting and researching genealogy. Janet was an avid collector of Barbies, hot wheels, beanies and miniatures. During her genealogy research, she discovered a distant relative to be General John Bell Hood.

Janet’s unconditional love for everyone and her giving spirit will be missed but each of us knows she lives on in our hearts.

She is survived by her daughter, Janice E. Nehring-DeShields (David), granddaughter, Carrie Elizabeth McRay (Scottie), great-granddaughter, Clara Herring and her best buddy, Kristie “Peanut” Culver
