Meredith “Dutchie” Fuller Baum passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 17, 2011, surrounded by the love and comfort of family.
Raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Meredith attended Rollins College in Florida. Thereafter, she followed her parents to Milledgeville, Georgia where she met her future husband, John Pinson Baum, Jr., who preceded her in death on May 8, 2003.
Meredith will be greatly missed by her adoring family—daughter Kimberly Baum Cook and her husband, Damian, and son John Pinson Baum, III and his wife, Libby. She also leaves a loving legacy in her two grand-daughters—Virginia Grace and Hailey Claire Cook. In addition to her family, Meredith enjoyed the loving and supportive friendship of many, who will miss her dearly. Meredith was a carefree and joyous spirit, sharing the gift of laughter with all who knew her. She will be remembered most of all for her unique and unfailing sense of humor that uplifted the hearts of so many.
Services will be held at First Presbyterian Church in LaGrange, Georgia on Sunday, August 21st at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in honor of Meredith Baum to American Cancer Society Atlanta Hope Lodge, 1552 Shoup Court, Atlanta, Georgia 30033.
