Penny and I are cousins. I have lived most of my life almost next door to her. We have many memories together. I will not be able to attend the funeral today because I can't do much walking but I want the family to know I am there with them in spirit and I am thinking and praying for peace. I loved her very much. Emily Allen

Penny was so kind and loved her friends. The world’s loss is truly heaven’s gain.

I have a lot of great memories with Penny. We used to meet every morning on the steps at Troup High. One Saturday, I went to pick her up in my ragged car. Just as we pulled out of Hutchinson Mill Road, we ran out of gas. We had to walk to a service station and ask for help. There were no cell phones at that time. I remember when she had appendicitis. I was with her when she became ill while we were in typing class. I remember staying with her in the hospital. She kept the brides book at my wedding. I will always love my precious friend and look forward to the day when we meet again.
