How could any son have asked for a more wonderful father? You taught me so many lessons in life which were bereft of money but rich in substance; lessons you never told me explicitly but I saw in your everyday life and I hope I can one day be half the man you were. You would always make the best out of the darkest times, and smile as adversity raged against your efforts. Through it all you kept your humility, faith, and sense of quiet courage which I always admired greatly. If all fathers loved their children as you, the orphanages would be empty and all children would know they are cherished above all else in their father's eyes. So now we lay you to rest Dad. You fought the good fight...literally in both body and spirit, so rest now knowing my brother and I have taken up your mantle and press forward enduring to show your example to this world. It was your honor to bring me into this world with your hand, as it was my honor to give you to God with mine. You did not see as I carried you to your resting place that day but I did so with love and peace knowing you are finally at rest and in pain no more. Your legacy will live on in your children and your children's children, and your memory shall endure as one of quiet kindness and faith. Be in peace my beloved father and one day I will, I pray, embrace you once again.

I hope you’re dancing in the sky
I hope you’re singing in the angels choir
I hope the angels know what they have
I bet it’s so nice up in heaven since you arrived

I’ll never forget you pops, the last 23 years have been a blessing having you in my life! You are the one person who never judged me, even in my bad days, but instead you prayed for me and had faith that I’d come back from that lifestyle that I chose to live. I truly believe that it was yours and my grannies prayers that brought me through over 15 years ago! You were one of the most upstanding men that I’ve ever met, your love for others was bigger than the ocean, and I truly believe that your Faith moved mountains! I love you pops and I’ll see you again when Jesus calls me home!
Please pray for the Gossett family, his wife, his children, his grandchildren, his great grandchildren, and his extended families and friends! He was loved by anyone he ever met, he had such a kind spirit and if you knew him you loved him! Rest in paradise pops, see you soon!!
