
Mr. Huber was born May 8, 1921 in LaGrange, GA to the late Phillip Henry Huber and Louise Walker Huber. He served his country proudly in the Artillery Division of the United States Army during WWII in Germany. Mr. Huber was employed at Dixie Mill for over 50 years in the Spinning Room and was a dedicated member and Deacon of Welcome Baptist Church. He took great pleasure in spending time with his grandchildren, playing dominoes, and working for the church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Alvin Huber, Ervin Huber, Raymond Huber, and Wilbur Jack Huber; sister, Ella Mae Dollar (James); and grandson, Larry E. Garner, Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Liddie Thornton Huber; son, Aaron (Barbara) Huber; daughter, Janice (Larry) Garner; eight grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; sister, Faye Flanagan; sisters-in-law, Pat Huber and Doris Cook; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be 2:00p.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2015 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Bro. Kevin Noles and Bro. Raymond Sorrells officiating. Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery. The Gathering of Family and Friends will be Tuesday, January 6, 2015 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Welcome Baptist Church Missions Fund.
