

Mr. Johnson was born April 1, 1918 in Chicago, IL, son of the late Clarence Ariel Johnson and Carolyn Leila Kemp Johnson. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Johnson was employed with AT&T as a repairman and engineer. After his retirement with AT&T, he was self employed as an accountant. In addition to his parents, Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Roberta Agnew Johnson.
Survivors include two sons, Bob “Bill” Johnson, II (Judy) of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA and Ray Johnson (Darlene) of Hogansville, GA; seven grandchildren, Robert W. “Rob” Johnson, III, Lindsay D. Tomberlin, Teresa Novak (Tony), Michelle Green (Troy), Misti Cook, Alison Holmes (Lee), and Adam Cook (Emma); thirteen great grandchildren, Zachary Thomas, Alexandria Green, Emily Green, Landon Cook, Laken Cook, Levi Cook, Dustin Holmes, Trevor Holmes, Lacey Holmes, Spencer Holmes, Lawson Cook, Fischer Cook, and Taylor Ann Tomberlin; and one half brother, Dick Johnson of Hawaii.
A Celebration of Life for Mr. Robert W. Johnson will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Shoal Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Anthony Hovey officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Vernon Woods Retirement Community, Hospice LaGrange, or Shoal Creek Baptist Church in memory of Mr. Robert W. Johnson
