Robert Eugene Wilson

Mr. Wilson was born September 11, 1950 in LaGrange, son of the late Oliver William Wilson and Margaret Lucille Wilson. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in West Point, GA and was retired from Newman’s Construction Company. Mr. Wilson served as a Lance Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Earl Wilson (his twin brother) and Hugh Oliver “Mickey” Wilson.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Wilson; children, Tammy Jo (Steven) Davis, Robert Shane (Carla) Wilson, Robyn Wilson, and Tracy Lynn (Ryan) Morris, all of LaGrange; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brother, Bruce (Rhonda) Wilson; sister, Brenda (Jimmy) Broome; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Bethel United Methodist Church, West Point, GA with Rev. Howard Longshore and Pastor Jessica Foster officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The gathering of family and friends will be on Wednesday from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in memory of Mr. Robert Eugene Wilson.
