Dear Family and Friends,
Tonight I learned of the passing of Susan and stopped to remember how she touched my life and the lives of many. It was a pleasure to serve with her on the Georgia Board of Nursing. She always cared deeply for the RN's in GA and even more for the patients under their care. She taught us all about the role of Public Health in GA and the importance of healthy populations. During her illness she continued to care for so many. She encouraged me while I was in graduate school and sent cookies to the Waresboro, GA Post Office when I graduated. Tonight I came home from work to see the hand written note she sent me on 3/20/12. I have it posted on my refrigerator! To sing a line from a Broadway show in her honor, “Because I Knew You...I Have Been Changed… For Good!" Thanks Susan!
