Mr. Gartee was a veteran of World War II, proudly serving his country from 1943 until 1945.
He is survived by a son, Bill Gartee of Irmo, South Carolina; a daughter, Joan Ware and her husband Richard of Tok, Alaska; a stepson, Ralph McCurdy and wife Judy of LaGrange, Georgia; and a stepdaughter, Cheryl Gruenefeld of Greenville, South Carolina. Ted was blessed with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Military Honors and inurnment will be 10:00am EST Friday, August 20, 2021 in Fort Mitchell National Cemetery. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be at 4:00pm Friday, August 20, 2021 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with a reception to follow.
