

Mr. Hardy was born December 15, 1921 in Centralhatchee, GA, son of the late O.D. Hardy and Mary Frances Gladney Hardy. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of LaGrange and was employed with Davidson Electrical Company before retiring. Mr. Hardy was a Mason with the Elm City Lodge and was a member of the LaGrange Shriner’s Club and the Yaarab Temple. He was a U.S. Navy veteran where he served on the USS Cotton during the Pacific Campaign. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hardy was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Hardy Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnell Hardy of LaGrange; two daughters, Carol (Kirk) Kilgore of LaGrange and Tommie (Walter) Pike of Marietta, GA; one son, Thomas “Chuck” (Tammie) Hardy, Jr. of LaGrange; one son-in-law, Donnie Smith of Stockbridge, GA; seven grandchildren, Kathy Sims, Alan Smith, Robert Pike, Zach Hardy, Nate Hardy, Steven Kilgore, and Matt Kilgore; four great grandchildren, Brian Bailey, Jason Sims, Carter Pike, and Jacob Pike; one great great grandchild, Parker Sims; and several nieces and one nephew.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Chapel with Dr. Douglas DeCelle officiating. Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.
Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Montreat Youth Conference Scholarship Fund, 120 Broad Street, LaGrange, GA 30240 in memory of Mr. Thomas Rabun Hardy, Sr.
