OBITUARY

Walter "Bill" Miles

July 2, 1947June 21, 2020

Walter “Bill” Wilson Miles, Sr., 72, of LaGrange, GA passed away Sunday, June 21, 2020 at West Georgia Hospice.

“Bill” as he was affectionately known, was born July 2, 1947 in LaGrange, GA, son of Margaret Freeman Richardson and the late Collie Miles. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and retired from LaGrange Toyota after 34 years of service.

Survivors include his loving wife, Elaine Miles; son, Walter W. Miles, Jr, his wife, Nikki and their children, Christian, Megan, and Ashlyn; daughter, Ashley Maxwell and her son, Miles; son, Jason Miles, his wife, Sarah and their children, Ava Cate and Cooper; mother, Maragaret Richardson; sister, Colleen Kitchens; other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, June 25, 2020 at 5:00pm in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to West Georgia Hospice in memory of Walter “Bill” Miles.

I'm sorry to hear about Bill passing away. I always thought a lot of him. I remember him at Pineview Baptist Church, when I was pastor there having a lot of good times. I too thought about him and the family many times since when passing their home. I will be praying for Elaine and all the family. God Bless Y'all

Bill and I were at the LaGrange Police Department in the late 60's-early 70's. I have not seen Bill since he left Toyota, however I think of him every time I pass by there. Prayers with the family during this time.
