William Franklin Burtron

William Franklin Burtron, 68, of LaGrange passed away Sunday, February 1, 2015. Mr. Burtron was born November 23, 1946 in San Bernardino, CA, son of the late John William Burtron and Merle Lavina Sargent Burtron. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy and retired after 20 years of service. Mr. Burtron was employed with Wal-Mart Distribution Center as a technician. Mr. Burtron is preceeded in death by his wife, Shelia Voncile Collins Burtron, daughter, Christie Burtron Lee, and a granddaughter, Bailey Voncile Burtron. Survivors include his daughter, Brenda Vega; son, Trotsky Quinn; grandson, Tyler Townley; sister, Joanne Cooper; brother, Charles Burtron; niece, Jolynn Self; and many much loved extended family. A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 5, 2015 at New Community Church with Reverend Billy McCoullough officiating. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the memorial service. In lieu of flowers the family has asked for contributions to be made to the Burtron-Ortiz Victim/Family Assistance Fund, P.O. Box 1489, LaGrange, GA 30240.
