William Coughlin

Mr. Coughlin was born May 5, 1924 in Birmingham, AL to the late Dewey Dodgen and Della Youngman. He was a member of Standing Rock Methodist Church. Mr. Coughlin served his country during WWII in the United States Army. He entered the European theater through Normandy beach. He taught nearly five decades at the college and high school level. He retired from Baker High School in Muscogee County.

Survivors include his step sons, Murphy (Pam) Wood and Russell Wood; step grandchildren, Forrest Wood, Sarah Wood, Spencer Wood, and Evelyn Wood; several cousins; special friend, Jean Castaneda; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 3:00pm EST Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Standing Rock Methodist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to the Standing Rock Cemetery Fund in memory of Mr. William Coughlin.
