Marjorie, Billy and I were classmates in Opelika in grammar school until his family moved. A number of years later, another classmate, Jake Walker, had a luncheon for you and your husband which my wife and I attended. We enjoyed getting reacquainted with you and Billy. He and I were the last surviving members of that class. I was sorry to learn of his passing and will remember you and your family in my prayers.

Sincerely, Orrin (Boody) Brown

I had the privilege of sitting next to Dr Fackler for a lunch at Lagrange College many years ago. I left that ordinary Sunday lunch feeling so uplifted by just having conversed and laughed with this wonderful man. He was such a delight and inspiration. He will be greatly missed in this city. My condolences to his family.

I was saddened to hear that Dr. Fackler passed away. He was a beloved and dedicated doctor for my family as well as so many other families in LaGrange. I have wonderful memories of shared experiences with Whit from kindergarten to high school. I feel fortunate to have known the Fackler family.

Dr. Fackler was one of the best in a time when Dr's would make house calls and cared about your problems. I will never forget my years in the Middle 60's and 70's when I was on the LaGrange Police Dept. when Dr Fackler would always be at the hospital when emergencies were brought in. He was truly one of a kind and will be missed.

Dr. Fackler was my maternal grandmother's doctor many, many years ago. She loved him...and thought he was so handsome!

Dr. Fackler made a house call to my home when I was 12 years old. When I grew older I saw Dr. Fackler as my regular doctor. Not only was he my doctor but I worked for him at the Clark-Holder Clinic for many years. I was the Manager of Insurance Services at the Clinic and had almost daily contact with him. Let me say, he was a fine Christian gentleman along with being the best doctor I have ever known. My love and sincere sympathy to Mrs. Fackler, Russell, and all the family.
