Mr. Pousson was born May 25, 1952, in Kinder, La. the youngest son of the late Alton and Gussie Pousson. He attended Marion High School, and worked for the City of Lake Charles Water District for 31 years. In 1974 Alfred met the love of his life, Sheila Pousson, and on June 7, 1975 they married. Their love and marriage was one of a kind and lasted until the end, Sheila was by his side 41 years later as Alfred passed on into the hands of the Lord. Alfred was a loved and respected member of the community. As dedicated members of St. Theodores Catholic Church in Moss Bluff, La., and Alfred cherished the times he spent with the men’s ACTS group, the many retreats and the strength these men of God shared with him were such a blessing. He was also an active member of the Knights Of Columbus. Alfred was strong in his love for God and in his love for his family and friends; he always cared and gave all he could to others. As the ‘Master Griller’, many would gather to taste his culinary delights!
Alfred was a loving husband, father, grandfather “Papa”, brother, and uncle. He leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his wife of 41 years, Sheila; his sons; Jeremy (Andrea) Pousson and Nicolas (Meagan) Pousson; and his grandbabies; Rose, Lilly, Briar, and Juniper, sisters; Betty LaRocca, Wanda Cormier, and Sylvia LaFleur, and numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Gussie and Alton Pousson; and his brothers, Joe and Junior Pousson.
